Came back to Penang for the weekend to settle some stuff,

At the same time, managed to meet up with some of my friends,
A nice relieve after the first two weeks of uni,
Not that uni was tough, well not yet :(
Thanks guys for making it a great weekend,

To watching Manchester United vs Arsenal at Mr. Pot,
And yes, MU won 2-nil! :D
A simple yet eventful weekend indeed,

December '09 & January '10,

Two bittersweet months,

Full of happy and sad memories,

Lost someone who was once special to me,

Made many new friendships,

Renewed old ones as well,

All of which these friendships will last a lifetime.

Mistakes were made,

Never regret making them,

Cos I grew up a lot in the last two months,

Became a stronger person,

More open to life now than before.

Well at the end of the day,

Just watched this movie in the afternoon just now. One of my all time favourite chick flick. Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler play the lead roles in the movie. They look so good together! LOL. For you people, especially guys, who haven't watch the movie, here's the storyline.

On a country road in Ireland over ten years ago, it was love at first sight for Holly, a lost young tourist, and Gerry, a charming local lad. Holly's formidable mother, disapproved of the couple, concerned that her spirited daughter was too young for marriage. In the years since, the once fearless Holly has become unsure of her own identity. When Gerry dies with a brain tumor and leaves Holly a widow just shy of her thirtieth birthday, her family and best friends are concerned that she will never emerge from her takeout container-strewn Manhattan apartment. After weeks holed up watching old movies, a birthday cake and tape recording message from Gerry mysteriously arrives, marking the beginning of a series of letters instructing her to perform unusual requests. With the help of her girlfriends, Holly begins a year of wild adventures and a life journey that Gerry has planned for her, helping her to discover who she is without him and reminding her - p.s. There's the sypnosis of it. Anyway, i cried so many times during the movie that I've lost count. Every scene is a touching one. I love how the movie had a good balance between it being a romantic comedy and a tragic love story. The movie had a unique twist to somewhat a cliché plot. I love how mismatched yet perfectly fitted together Gerry and Holly was. Through all their squabbles, they would always make up immediately after. Even after his death, Gerry managed to make Holly live again.

My favourite quotes from the movie:

Every girl would want her own Gerry. Heck, I want my own Gerry. LOL! For me, I don't have one yet. I'm still young and have much to learn. I'll take each day step by step. Just living life as it is. When the right guy actually comes, well that's something for only me to know. =)

The Lorry Incident.

Yesterday, after Maths class, something really unfortunate happened. A LORRY GOT STUCK! THREE TIMES! AHHHH!

It all started with Sofia, Daryl, Jason and I helping Ms Lai with a biology project that's going to take place on 3rd October. Well actually it was only Sofia and Daryl. They were waiting for the lorry driver who was transporting sand to the college. Jason and I were tagging along as we were waiting for both of them to go have lunch. The lorry was to drive to the back of the library building. As every Disted student knows, the ground at the area gets really soggy and soft fast after it rains. And it happened to rain the night before. =( Anyway, as the lorry was unloading the sand, its tires were sinking lower and lower until it was finally stuck. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Yu Zhi was there as he was suppose to meet up with Jason, Daryl and I for prom committee meeting. Well, Jason, Daryl and Yu Zhi managed to get the lorry unstuck but.. as soon as the lorry was moving, its tires sank into the ground again. Arghhh.. So, once again they tried to get the lorry unstuck.

After so many tries, guys from the accounts class came to help out. Or probably just to skip class. But anyway, more and more people came to help and they managed to get the lorry unstuck. YAY!

But it decided to get stuck AGAIN! This time the girls including me helped out. However, when the lorry manage to get unstuck AGAIN, there were only a few that were pushing the lorry. And Sofia, Kylie and I were one of those people. So proud of us.. xD

Although it was a really unfortunate and SUPER DUPER tiring event, it made me realize something. My friends from SAM will always help each other out in anything. No matter how hard or easy the task is. This lorry incident is just only one of them.

The Donkey Attitude.

Just something that I would like to share with everyone.

THE DONKEY

One day, a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping and NEVER giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

So, everyone let's have The Donkey Attitude! =)
